Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Field Engineer to support utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects across the United States. This field role links engineering, construction, quality, and project management to ensure safe, efficient, and design-compliant execution.

The position is field-based with daily per diem and home rotations approximately every 3-4 weeks, involving collaboration across multiple teams and frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, construction management, engineering technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Experience supporting field operations, project execution, or technical coordination.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams to support project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with construction teams, engineering partners, subcontractors, owners, and regulatory agencies to support project execution and resolve technical field issues.
• Partner with Quality, Construction, and Engineering teams to support First Article Inspections (FAIs) and verify work is executed per engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements; manage engineering and construction documentation (redlines, as-builts, field reports, inspection records, turnover packages).
• Generate, track, and facilitate RFIs between project stakeholders to support timely issue resolution and minimize schedule impacts.
• Review material submittals, engineering packages, and construction documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Support project teams in identifying and mitigating construction risks and execution challenges through proactive coordination and communication.
• Maintain visibility into subcontractors and self-perform scope execution to drive accountability to quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate inspections and approvals with AHJs, utility representatives, and project stakeholders throughout construction.
• Utilize drones and related technologies to monitor construction progress, document site conditions, and support issue identification and resolution.
• Partner with project management, construction leadership, quality, and engineering teams to improve consistency, communication, and project outcomes across the jobsite.
