Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Field Engineer to support utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects across the United States. This role acts as a key link between engineering, construction, quality, and project management to ensure safety and adherence to design requirements.

The role is field-oriented, solving complex problems, working with diverse teams, and delivering large-scale renewables projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, engineering, quality, project controls, or field operations.
• Experience creating reports and maintaining project documentation.
• Ability to work against deadlines and manage priorities.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with construction teams, engineering partners, subcontractors, owners, and regulatory agencies to support project execution and resolve technical field issues.
• Partner with Quality, Construction, and Engineering teams to support First Article Inspections (FAIs) and verify work is executed in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Manage engineering and construction documentation, including redlines, as-builts, field reports, inspection records, and turnover packages.
• Generate, track, and facilitate RFIs between project stakeholders to support timely issue resolution and minimize impacts to schedule and productivity.
• Review material submittals, engineering packages, and construction documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Support project teams in identifying and mitigating construction risks, constraints, and execution challenges through proactive coordination and communication.
• Maintain visibility into subcontractors and self-perform scope execution, helping drive accountability to quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate inspections and approvals with AHJs, utility representatives, and project stakeholders throughout construction.
• Utilize drones and related technologies to monitor construction progress, document site conditions, and support issue identification and resolution.
• Partner with project management, construction leadership, quality, and engineering teams to improve consistency, communication, and project outcomes across the jobsite.
