Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer to deliver expert-level technical assistance, optimize RF and broadband architectures, and document system configurations for public safety and DoD-related deployments. Travel up to 75% and preference for Arizona residents.

The role requires on-site work, strong LAN/WAN, server administration, and experience with Motorola consoles and P25 systems, with opportunity to affect critical communications infrastructure across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of RF, networking, or server administration experience.
• Experience with RF test equipment (Viavi/Anritsu) and field deployments.
• Knowledge of LMR/P25 trunked/conventional systems and Motorola equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for specialized RF and broadband systems, troubleshooting software-driven electronics and optimizing performance.
• Manage on-site infrastructure enhancements and document as-built configurations.
• Develop and implement solutions for complex technical challenges during system implementation or upgrades.
• Prepare comprehensive weekly reports detailing activities and outcomes.
• Maintain strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and related IT infrastructure.
