Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer to design, implement, and support advanced communication systems. The role requires extensive travel (>75%) and blends RF, networking, and server expertise to deliver mission-critical solutions for government and public safety customers.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales, perform remote and on-site configuration, and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.

Qualifications

• Experience with RF systems and networking.
• Strong communication and professional presentation.
• Willingness to travel extensively (>75%).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, optimize, cutover and document communication systems per customer specs.
• Remote and onsite configuration of network, server, RF, and database components; generate as-configured docs.
• Oversee installation of network, server, and RF equipment with design drawings and documentation.
• Troubleshoot networks, servers, databases and RF infrastructure; perform preventative maintenance.
• Conduct acceptance testing and optimize RF infrastructure using FCC data and design parameters.
• Provide weekly activity and accomplishments reports.
• Leverage RF and IT skills to resolve complex technical issues during deployments.
