Job summary

BUILD Renewables is seeking a Field Engineer - Utility and Repower to support the Project Management and Operations teams on national projects. The Field Engineer will interact with the client to resolve questions and ensure clear communication while ensuring safety and quality on site.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent, with renewable energy project experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• One year of experience on renewable energy projects preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, Outlook, and related software programs. Knowledge of Procore and Auto CAD desired.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of BUILD Renewables’ personnel, clients, and subcontractors.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
• Highly detail-oriented.
• Must be self-motivated with an intense sense of urgency.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed on site.
• Coordinate work of subcontractors and host onsite.
• Validate field quantities with project progress.
• Ensure materials and tools meet specs.
• Build work plans and procedures.
• Plan subtasks and lead meetings with Operations and client.
• Review as-built drawings and communicate changes.
• Oversee calibration schedule for equipment/tools.
• Support QA, Superintendents and Foreman in the field.
• Work with Procurement/Logistics to assure quality and delivery.
• Partner with Quality Manager for root cause analysis.
• Send RFIs to client.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
