Job summary

RES is seeking a Field Engineer I to support EPC and balance of plant projects in the utility and renewable energy sector. This role requires accurate tracking of construction activity while upholding safety and quality standards across multiple sites nationwide.

You will read engineering drawings, support planning and procurement, and help maintain project documents. A degree in engineering or equivalent experience, plus 76-100% travel, is expected. Benefits are provided from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering or construction management (or equivalent); or 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Travel 76-100% domestically is required and valid driver's license is needed.
• Experience with safety, quality, and environmental procedures on construction sites.
• Ability to read prints and drawings and interpret contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Track construction activity and maintain safety and quality requirements on projects.
• Support EPC and BOP project activities across multiple sites.
• Prepare PODs, reports, and handbooks; manage material receiving and inventory.
• Coordinate procurement of labor, equipment, and materials; assist with planning and lookaheads.
• Maintain compliance with SMS, QMS, and EMS; ensure client expectations are met.
