Job summary

RES is seeking a Field Engineer I to perform accurate construction activity tracking while maintaining safety and quality across EPC and BOP projects in the utility and renewable energy sectors. The role requires readiness to travel to project sites nationwide and to support planning, procurement, and construction activities.

Ideal candidates will have a related engineering or construction background, travel willingness up to 100%, and a strong commitment to environmental and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED and a Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering or construction management (or equivalent)
• 1+ year of experience in BESS, Substation, Transmission, and/or renewable energy EPC contract experience is preferred
• Ability to travel 76–100% domestically
• Valid Driver’s License and OSHA safety knowledge
• Reading prints and drawings and taking off quantities, and understanding SOW/SOV/budgets

Responsibilities

• Track time and production quantities daily for projects
• Complete Plan of Day (POD) reports accurately and timely
• Monitor progress against baseline schedules
• Maintain Foreman Handbooks and project documentation
• Create and compile shake-out maps for material staging on site
• Perform material receiving, inventory, and related management activities
• Communicate with project stakeholders to uphold safety, quality, and client expectations
• Operate company vehicle safely and follow SMS/QMS/EMS guidelines
