Job summary

RES is hiring a Field Engineer I to support EPC and BOP projects in the utility and renewable energy sector. You will track construction activity, ensure safety and quality, and travel to project sites across the United States.

You will work with safety, quality, environmental planning, and coordination with superintendents, crews, and vendors; base salary range is $68,000–$85,000 with a bonus eligibility and daily per diem; domestic travel up to 100% is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant engineering or construction management degree or at least 2 years of equivalent experience.
• Must have 1+ year experience in BESS, substation, transmission, or renewable energy EPC.
• Travel domestically 76-100% and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Safety, quality, and environmental requirements on EPC/BOP projects.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and procurement coordination.
• Track time, production quantities, and POD reports daily.
• Verify field installations per IFC and manufacturer specs.
• Maintain foreman handbooks and project documentation.
• Support client relationship management and contract adherence.
