Job summary

RES is seeking a Field Engineer I to perform accurate construction activity tracking, uphold safety and quality, and support EPC and BOP projects in the utility and renewable energy sectors across the United States. The role requires willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

The position emphasizes collaboration with project teams, maintenance of essential documentation, and adherence to safety and quality standards. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience in BESS, Substation, Transmission, and/or renewable energy EPC contracts preferred.
• Ability to travel 76-100% domestically.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Construction site safety and OSHA requirements.
• Reading prints and drawings and taking off quantities.
• Interpretation of contract documents including SOW, SOV, and budgets.
• Proficiency with HeavyJob, Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate construction activity tracking while maintaining safety and quality at project sites.
• Support EPC and BOP projects across multiple locations and travel as needed.
• Coordinate timely procurement of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain Foreman Handbooks and POD reports and track progress vs. baseline schedule.
• Ensure compliance with Safety Management System, Quality Management System, and Environmental Management System.
