Job summary

HNTB is seeking interns in Missouri to assist the inspection and documentation of construction work on major infrastructure projects. You will help monitor conformance with plans, specs, and contract provisions while supporting field inspections and reporting.

You will read drawings, observe testing, and coordinate with the Resident Engineer to resolve issues. This role emphasizes learning current inspection tools and delivering accurate, timely reports with photos and videos.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or former HNTB intern.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Experience coordinating field inspections or similar tasks.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction field work to ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Observe on-site material testing and coordinate testing services.
• Review daily construction reports for accuracy and consistency.
• Provide reports on construction progress with photos/videos.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineer on progress and issues.
• Stay current with inspection technologies and tools.
