Job summary

HNTB is seeking an intern or early-career engineer to perform construction inspection and documentation tasks on major infrastructure projects. This role involves on-site field work, review of drawings and specifications, and coordination with Resident Engineer to resolve issues.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, tracking RFIs and submittals, and ensuring adherence to plans and contract provisions. A Bachelor's in Engineering is required, with EIT preferred.

Qualifications

• Assists with construction field work tasks and activities on a project to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Observes on-site material testing and coordinates testing and monitoring services.
• Reads and interprets construction drawings and specifications and identifies discrepancies.
• Reviews contractor’s daily construction reports for accuracy, thoroughness and consistency; tracks progress and prepares reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meeting agendas and meeting minutes; assist in processing and maintaining tracking logs for RFIs, submittals, pay estimates and other deliverables.
