Job summary

HNTB invites current or former interns to join as an engineering inspection and documentation assistant. You will monitor construction to ensure compliance with plans and contract provisions, and assist in modifying design calculations and technical reports. Exposure to GPS/Rovers and new technology will enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities include field inspections, testing coordination, and reporting on progress while collaborating with the Resident Engineer and the engineer of record.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Current or former HNTB intern status.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction field tasks to ensure conformance with plans.
• Observe material testing and coordinate testing services.
• Prepare reports on construction progress.
• Assist in processing RFIs, submittals, and pay estimates.
• Liaise with Resident Engineer and assist with office engineer tasks.
