IES in New Albany, OH is seeking a Field Engineer II - Structured Cabling to install, troubleshoot and verify low-voltage cabling systems. You will work from advanced drawings, supervise field staff when needed and collaborate with project managers.

The role requires 4–6 years of commercial cabling experience, a high school diploma or GED, proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Project, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4–6 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Ability to read blueprints and project documents, and manage tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot low-voltage/structured cabling systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and verify field installations.
• Create shop drawings and submittals for new projects.
• Oversee technical aspects of projects and mentor field staff.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and pre-construction teams.
• Support sales with product and system demonstrations.
• Maintain project punch-lists and assist with closeouts.
