Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Field Engineer II in Ohio to learn the Project Engineer and Superintendent roles while gaining hands-on experience in field activities. You will partner with engineers and managers to ensure project information is accurate, logs are current, and safety standards are enforced.

The role emphasizes training through Gilbane University, collaboration with experienced teams, and contributing to timely project milestones and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 1-2 years of experience or internships with a construction organization.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineers, Project Managers and Superintendents to coordinate and distribute project information.
• Maintain real-time status of logs and contract documents.
• Prepare and review RFIs, submittals, and other documents.
• Create PCIs in CMiC, issue RFQs and review quotes from trades.
• Develop the submittal register and cost reports.
• Conduct and manage quality control activities and ensure corrective action when needed.
• Lead safety inspections and enforce Gilbane’s safety standards.
• Support schedule updates, pull plans and field coordination.
