Job summary

Gilbane is seeking a Senior General Superintendent II to manage all field operations on one or more large data center projects in Ohio. The role is on-site daily and will lead a project team, coordinating with owners, architects, and subcontractors to meet schedule and budget.

You will drive safety, quality, and timely delivery while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development. This is a high-impact leadership position with growth opportunities within Gilbane.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 15+ years of experience on large commercial/industrial projects.
• OSHA 30-hour certified; STS-C; First Aid/CPR training.
• Ability to lead a large project team and manage safety.
• Experience with labor relations.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates trade contractors to meet schedule.
• Supervises and develops the project team.
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and site services.
• Develops and communicates the work plan for field changes.
• Leads site walks with owner, architect/engineer, and lenders.
• Maintains contract docs and coordinates with AHJ inspections.
• Drives safety culture across all project personnel.
• Mentors junior team members and leads superintendent peer group.
• Leads or delegates stretch and daily huddle.
• Leads ground-up construction with foundation experience.
