Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Field Engineer II - Data Center to learn the full spectrum of Project Engineer and Superintendent responsibilities in a hands-on environment. This role emphasizes growth, mentoring, and delivering value on a critical data center program.

You will partner with engineers and field leaders, maintain real-time documentation, and participate in safety initiatives while developing technical and leadership skills for a successful construction career at Gilbane.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 1–2 years of experience or internships with a construction organization.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Strong technical and communication skills are essential.
• Proficient in Procore and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Engineers, Project Managers and Superintendents to coordinate project information.
• Ensures contract documents and logs are up to date in real time.
• Prepares status reports on RFIs, submittals and other documents.
• Creates PCIs in CMiC, issues RFQs and reviews quotes from trades.
• Reviews scopes of work for bid packages.
• Enforces Gilbane’s high safety standards and conducts weekly safety inspections.
• Assists with Time and Materials process.
