Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking current/former interns for a construction inspection role across multiple Florida locations. You will assist in field tasks, monitor conformance to plans, and help prepare daily reports and documentation of on-site activities.

The role emphasizes learning through hands-on inspections, coordination with Resident Engineer, and applying basic calculations while gaining exposure to GPS/Rovers and reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Intern candidate must be current or former HNTB intern.
• Familiarity with field inspection and documentation processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with field work to ensure conformance to plans and specs.
• Observes on-site material testing and reviews contractor reports.
• Reads and interprets construction drawings and specs for discrepancies.
• Prepares reports on construction progress and maintains logs for RFIs, submittals, and pay estimates.
• Consults with Resident Engineer to resolve issues and communicate progress.
• Keeps current on industry tools and uses GPS/Rovers to improve accuracy.
• Performs office tasks such as meeting agendas and minutes when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
