Job summary

HNTB in Charleston, SC is seeking an engineering intern to assist in inspecting and documenting construction work, ensuring compliance with plans and specs, and supporting the project team.

You will read drawings, help with daily reports, coordinate with the Resident Engineer, and gain exposure to GPS/Rover surveying and digital construction management tools.

This full-time internship is open to current/former HNTB interns; EIT preferred; visa not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to read contractor CPM schedule at a basic level.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field construction tasks and coordinate quality control inspections.
• Observe on-site material testing and prepare progress reports.
• Review daily construction reports and as-built mark-ups.
• Communicate with the Resident Engineer to resolve issues.
