Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry level Field Engineer to join its Building Group within Field Operations. You’ll support both field and office engineering on a variety of construction projects, from hospitals to offices and arenas, contributing to safe, on-time project completion.

You’ll gain hands-on training across planning, surveying, takeoffs, and cost tracking, with relocation support as needed. Expect a dynamic, safety-focused environment and clear career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a construction-related field of engineering.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to multiple cities as needed.
• Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in leadership roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews.
• Perform quantity calculations and support work planning.
• Assist in field surveying, data collection and as-built data.
• Prepare work packages and coordinate material deliveries.
• Support safety reviews and toolbox talks.
• Assist in office tasks: takeoffs, data gathering, and cost tracking.
• Support in generating change orders and subcontractor coordination.
