Kiewit Building Group seeks an entry-level Field Engineer to join our Field Operations team. You will support field crews with drawings, takeoffs, and planning while contributing to safety and efficiency on diverse projects.

Base compensation ranges reflect the market in the United States; relocation may be available as projects require. This role offers training, hands-on development, and a path to growth within a large, established contractor.

Qualifications

• Willing to travel and relocate to cities as business requires.
• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in a construction-related field of engineering.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Strong work ethic and integrity.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to access all points of a construction site in varied environments.
• Previous internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining completed work.
• Assist in preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and layout support including elevations and control points.
• Assist in maintaining daily labor timesheets and project records.
• Assist in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) preparation.
• Assist with underground tunneling and construction operations where needed.
• Participate in safety reviews, toolbox talks, and safety trainings.
• Order and schedule material deliveries; coordinate with vendors and subcontractors.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite; supervise field operations.
