Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) seeks a Field Engineer to support engineers and technicians in field and lab settings. You will conduct geotechnical testing, perform soil analyses, and compile detailed site reports to ensure data integrity for construction projects.

Ideal candidates have a Civil/Geological engineering background, EIT/PE potential, and strong teamwork. Travel is regional with field work predominating in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
• EIT and ability to achieve PE registration.
• Experience in engineering/science field is beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field testing according to QA procedures.
• Perform soil laboratory tests following QA procedures.
• Prepare reports of field and laboratory work.
• Communicate with clients to determine project needs.
• Assist in training less experienced personnel.
