Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer in Omaha, NE to actively participate in safety programs, perform self-perform tasks within a crew, and learn company methods for construction. You’ll collaborate with foremen, journeymen and subcontractors, while gaining hands-on experience and Lean practice integration on large industrial and data center projects.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, with 0–2 years experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all aspects of the project safety plan and culture.
• Learns and participates in all aspects of safety culture with mentoring.
• Works with tools and performs self-perform work embedded with a crew.
• Learns company standards for building processes through on-the-job training.
• Builds relationships and communicates with trades, foremen and subs.
• Understands company functions and how each contributes to project success.
• Learns equipment usage for specific building processes.
• Collaborates with others and demonstrates teamwork.
• Learns Lean practices and applies daily activities.
• Participates in weekly work planning and site meetings.
