Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Field Engineer in Los Angeles to lead on construction projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes and contract specifications. You will oversee scheduling, material readiness, and field layout while coordinating with crews and engineers to minimize risks.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of construction engineering experience, with strong communication and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 1+ years construction engineering experience.
• Familiarity with construction equipment, drawings & specifications, building materials and applicable standards.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily with project crews to review the production schedule and ensure materials, equipment, and resources are ready.
• Coordinate and analyze shop drawings and design specs to ensure quality and contract compliance.
• Provide technical input for project work plans and schedules, identifying risk elements that could impact budget or schedule.
• Monitor daily production and budget projections and document activities using approved methods.
• Assist with permits, certificates, inspections and QA documentation on site.
• Plan field layout with engineers to mark utilites and ensure safe production commencement.
