Job summary

Tatitlek Federal Services, Inc. (TFSI) seeks a Field Engineer to supervise a team performing installation and integration on board US Coast Guard boats and cutters. You will plan, coordinate, and execute project tasks, review technical work, and support testing, calibration, and repair.

The role requires leadership of 3–10 technicians, interpretation of engineering drawings, and hands-on assembly of electrical/electronic/C4I systems. Travel 60–75% nationwide and DoD Secret clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• US citizen with ability to obtain/maintain SECRET clearance.
• High School diploma and 8 years' Coast Guard or Navy C4I installation experience.
• NavSea cableway/connector certification desired but not required.
• Experience with Cable Fabrication (Multi-pin, RF, Network, Power, Fiber, Mil-spec, or serial cable assemblies).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3 to 10 individuals in system development, testing, installation and/or integration on board US Coast Guard Boats and Cutters.
• Designs, develops, and constructs major units, devices, or equipment; conducts tests; analyzes results and modifies equipment to improve performance.
• Performs, trains and supervise others in installation/removal/upgrades for electrical/electronic/C4I tasks.
• Reads and interprets installation drawings and cable run sheets; fabricates connectors by soldering/crimping.
• Diagnoses and isolates equipment malfunctions; supervises construction/assembly of components.
• Follows diagrams to assemble devices; conducts tests and records data.
