Job summary

The Tatitlek Corporation is seeking an Engineering Technician II to support installation and integration on board US Coast Guard boats and cutters. You will follow supervisor guidance, perform wiring, testing, and fabrication tasks, and help ensure system reliability in a demanding marine environment.

You will interpret drawings, assemble connectors, and assist engineers while maintaining safety and quality standards. A SECRET clearance and travel between 60% and 75% are required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
• High School diploma with 2 years’ experience in US Coast Guard or US Navy C4I system installation and integration support.
• Or completion of Coast Guard or Navy C training with 2-year experience in C4I installation support.
• NavSea Cableway and/or connector certification is desirable but not required.
• Experience with cable fabrication (multi-pin, RF, network, power, fiber, mil-spec).

Responsibilities

• Performs installation/removal/upgrades for electrical/electronic/C4I tasks.
• Performs system testing to evaluate performance with supervision.
• Operates tools to aid in fabricating, installing, removing, and upgrading tasks.
• Uses drawings and manuals to guide installation and testing.
• Under supervision, perform cableways, connectors, and related duties.
• Read and interpret installation drawings and cable run sheets.
• Fabricate connectors by soldering and/or crimping for navigation, communication and power equipment.
• Construct components or simple models and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Provide technical support to engineers.
