Job summary

The Engineering Technician I at Tatitlek Corporation reports to the Program Manager and supports system installation and integration on US Coast Guard boats and cutters. Duties include wiring, testing, and upgrading electrical/electronic/C4I tasks, with supervision as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and up to 1 year of Coast Guard or Navy C4I experience, with ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. Travel and physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
• 1 year experience in US Coast Guard or US Navy C4I system installation support.
• NavSea cableway/connector certification desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation/removal/upgrades for electrical/electronic/C4I tasks.
• Performs system testing to evaluate performance with supervision.
• Operates tools to aid in fabricating, installing, removing, and upgrading tasks.
• Reads and interprets installation drawings and cable run sheets with assistance.
• Fabricates connectors by soldering and/or crimping for navigation, communication, and power equipment.
• Constructs components or simple models and may troubleshoot malfunctions.
