Job summary

Tatitlek Federal Services, Inc (TFSI) seeks an Engineering Technician II to support installation and integration on board US Coast Guard boats. You will receive instructions from engineers and perform tasks independently, including testing and troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, and C4I systems.

The role requires US citizenship with ability to obtain SECRET clearance, a high school diploma and Coast Guard/Navy C4I experience. Expect substantial travel to shipyards and installations.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen and obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
• High School diploma with 2 years’ US Coast Guard or US Navy C4I system installation experience, Coast Guard preferred.
• NavSea Cableway/connector certification desired but not required.
• Experience with Cable Fabrication (Multi-pin, RF, Network, Power, Fiber, Mil-spec).

Responsibilities

• Install/remove/upgrade electrical/electronic/C4I tasks on ships and shore equipment.
• Perform system testing under supervision and with standard test equipment.
• Fabricate connectors by soldering/crimping for navigation, comms, and power gear.
• Read/install from drawings and cable run sheets; provide engineer support.
• Travel between 60% and 75% annually to support Coast Guard platforms.
