Carrier Global Corporation, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, seeks a Field Engineer to work onsite in Reno, NV. You will install, commission, and optimize DDC systems, troubleshoot issues, and train building owners.

Travel will be required as projects progress from start to finish, with ownership of complex tasks and rigorous documentation. The role emphasizes hands-on work in building automation, with preferences for HVAC/controls experience and the ability to handle

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Building Automation or HVAC Controls.
• Hold a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Lift items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squat and climb for extended periods.
• Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and optimize advanced DDC systems, ensuring controls, sensors, and networks meet performance standards.
• Use technical judgment to solve automation challenges and mitigate project risks before they impact timelines.
• Train owners on system operation and partner with Project Managers to manage risks and improve execution.
• Travel as needed and adapt to changing schedules while taking end-to-end ownership of complex projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
