Job summary

Automated Logic, a Carrier Company, seeks a Field Engineer who delivers durable controls solutions by applying sound technical judgment to complex projects. You will troubleshoot, optimize DDC systems, and lead with proactive problem solving across building automation.

The role requires travel to support operations, ownership from start to finish, and accountability for system performance. A High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years in HVAC/building automation with IP networking or PLC experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of professional experience in HVAC, Building automation, Information Technology, or Industrial Networking, including direct experience with IP networking, Modbus protocols, or PLC programming.
• Must possess a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
• Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• System Performance: Install, commission, and optimize advanced DDC systems, ensuring controls, sensors, and networks meet performance standards.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Use technical judgment to solve automation challenges and mitigate project risks before they impact timelines.
• Technical Leadership: Train owners on system operation and partner with Project Managers to manage risks and improve execution.
• Travel & Growth: Travel as needed and adapt to changing schedules while taking end-to-end ownership of complex projects.
• Project Integrity: Maintain accurate documentation and participate in project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
