Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer 2 to support routine construction activities and supervise a crew as a working foreman. You will help implement safety plans, plan self-perform work, and work with the superintendent on project coordination.

The role emphasizes Lean practices and collaboration across trades. Qualified candidates typically have a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field and 2+ years of construction experience, with preferred supervisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program, depending upon location (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 2+ years construction experience (Required).
• 0-2 years construction supervision experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all aspects of the project safety plan and culture.
• Plans, executes and reports self-perform work; pre-plans crew activities and looks ahead.
• Works on site with the superintendent to monitor crew size and coordinate with contractors.
• Participates in planning meetings and lean construction activities.
• Helps ensure quality through QA/QC activities and continuous improvement.
• Develops relationships with the project team and trades to support project needs.
