Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer 2 to support routine construction activities on projects in Atlanta. You will ensure planned work by the crew is performed efficiently, supervise a working foreman, and align with JE Dunn’s safety culture and practices.

The role requires 2+ years of construction experience, a background in construction management or engineering, and the ability to collaborate with foremen, journeymen and subcontractors on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program, depending upon location (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in project safety plans and promotes a culture of safety.
• Works with tools and performs self-perform work as part of a crew.
• Learns company standards for building techniques through hands-on training.
• Builds relationships with trades and project team members such as foremen and superintendents.
• Develops understanding of functions across the company and how each contributes to project success.
• Learns and applies Lean practices to daily activities.
• Participates in planning meetings such as weekly work plans and lookaheads.
• Coordinates with superintendent and other crews to meet project needs.
