Job summary

Avoca is seeking a Forward Deployed Product Engineer to embed with the largest home-services brands, learning their operations and shipping end-to-end AI systems. You’ll own implementations from first customer conversation to live deployment, with a clear impact on the core product roadmap.

You’ll work in NYC, travel to sites for key deployments, and translate real-world requirements into scalable architectures while building reusable tools for broader deployments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript; Next.js/React; PostgreSQL; AWS.
• Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to work in NYC in person and travel for key deployments.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to design and deploy AI voice agents.
• Build production integrations into CRM/FSM systems (APIs, webhooks, data flows).
• Translate real-world requirements into clean technical architecture and shipped code.
• Create reusable tooling and product improvements that scale beyond a single customer.
• Serve as on-site technical presence for strategic accounts.
