Job summary

IFS, a global aerospace and defense software leader, seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with customers, delivering end-to-end software across the stack. You will work directly at customer sites, shaping architecture, deployment, and AI-enabled capabilities within real environments.

You will combine hands-on development with field insight, translating field learnings into product improvements while traveling as required and collaborating with product teams to drive value in

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, building and shipping production software across the stack.
• Experience working directly with customers, on site or embedded in their teams.
• Ownership mindset with responsibility for testing, CI/CD, cloud and DevOps, and security.
• Experience delivering under time pressure with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build with the customer: embed with Aerospace & Defense customers on site to learn operations and ship software with them.
• Ship across the stack: design, build and test full-stack features in modern languages.
• Integrate into real operations: connect to ERP, CRM, IoT and legacy systems and own solution architecture.
• Own delivery end to end: build, run, test, deploy with observability and reliability.
• Bring AI into the work: use AI-assisted tooling and bring AI capabilities to customers.
• Turn field work into product: feed learnings into core product roadmap.
• Represent IFS credibly: communicate trade-offs to customers and partners.
