Job summary

IFS seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with Aerospace & Defense customers, embedding with their teams to understand operations and deliver AI-enabled software. You will own end-to-end delivery across the stack, from design to deployment, collaborating with product and engineering to ship features that add real business value.

You will apply broad technical capabilities—backend, data, APIs, and front-end work—while engaging with customers on site, embracing travel as needed

Qualifications

• Senior-level autonomy with a track record of owning delivery.
• Experience embedding with customers on site or in their teams.
• Proficiency across backend services, APIs, data, integrations and web front ends.
• Ability to design and ship production software in AI-enabled environments.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Aerospace & Defense customers on site to learn operations and design software with them.
• Design, build and ship full-stack features across the stack (backend, data, integrations, UI).
• Integrate IFS with ERP, CRM, IoT and legacy systems and own the solution architecture.
• Own delivery end to end with automated testing, CI/CD, deployment and observability.
