Job summary

Istari Digital seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to be embedded with customer teams in aerospace and defense. You’ll write real code, architect integrations, and solve mission‑critical problems at the intersection of digital engineering workflows and operations. You will own onsite technical delivery, implement scalable integrations with Istari's platform, and translate field experience into product insights.

U.S. citizenship and clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals; you write production‑quality code and defend your architectural decisions.
• Hands‑on experience with digital engineering toolchains: CAD, CFD, FEM, or related simulation environments.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments without heavy hand‑holding.
• Ability to work on‑site with customers in a U.S. defense/aerospace context; clearance eligibility is required or a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Onsite Technical Delivery: embed with customer teams, understand workflows and data environments.
• Software Development: architect and build integrations, write clean, maintainable code, contribute to tooling and docs.
• Feedback Loop to Product: translate field experience into actionable product insights and participate in reviews and roadmaps.
