Job summary

Istari Digital seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to be embedded with customer teams in aerospace and defense, writing real code, architecting integrations, and solving mission-critical problems in unstructured environments. You’ll work closely with customer program managers and Istari engineers to translate field feedback into robust deployments, ensure platform adoption, and drive product improvements.

This on-site role requires clear communication, strong ownership, and the ability to navigate

Qualifications

• Write production-quality code and defend architectural decisions.
• Hands-on experience with CAD, CFD, FEM and related toolchains.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Willing to work on-site with US defense/aero customers; clearance eligible.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customer engineering teams to understand workflows and constraints.
• Architect and build software that integrates Istari's platform into existing pipelines.
• Develop integrations, test, and maintain solutions following modern practices.
• Translate field experience into product insights and support roadmap discussions.
