Job summary

Eaton’s North American Sales division is seeking an Outside Sales Engineer to join our team in Chandler, AZ. You will focus on electrical power distribution solutions within residential and light commercial markets, building strong customer relationships and driving territory growth.

You will work independently with support from a tenured team, access robust training, and benefit from onsite local manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum one year of experience within the electrical industry or customer facing technical sales.
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• No relocation assistance; must reside within 50 miles of Chandler, AZ.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration visas for this role.

Responsibilities

• Sell assigned product lines to targeted customers in specified market areas.
• Achieve sales goals with minimal supervision while maximizing volume, mix and margin.
• Coordinate sales for the customer and distributor base and manage all customer relationships.
• Provide timely information for orders and market intelligence on customer needs and competitive products.
• Support distributor inventories and provide requested reports.
• Plan and execute promotional events with distributors to promote Eaton’s position and achieve sales goals.
• Prepare bids and quotations using company guidelines and sound business judgment.
