Job summary

Eaton’s North America Sales division seeks a Senior Outside Sales Engineer for a territory within 50 miles of Austin, TX. The role focuses on selling assigned product lines to Commercial Construction, coordinating with distributors, customers, end users and specifiers, and achieving sales targets with minimal supervision.

You will provide sales and technical support, interpret plans, prepare bids, and analyze market trends to optimize product mix and margins while building strong relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three (3) years in a technical or commercial field.
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to travel locally 10% of the time.
• No immigration sponsorship offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Sell assigned product lines to Commercial Construction in targeted market areas.
• Coordinate sales for the customer and distributor base.
• Provide sales and technical assistance with distributors, customers, end users and specifiers.
• Provide timely information for order entry and market intelligence data.
• Prepare bids and quotations using company guidelines.
• Plan promotional events and presentations with distributor personnel.
• Analyze market trends and competitive activities to inform product divisions.
