Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a field technician specializing in protective relaying and metering systems for transmission and distribution projects.

You will install, program, test, and maintain relays and meters, ensuring reliability and safety of critical electrical infrastructure. Applicants should have 4+ years of electrical experience or appropriate degrees, be able to travel up to 50%, and be proficient with test equipment like Doble, Omicron, Megger, and Fluke.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant electrical experience or associate's degree with 2+ years, or Bachelor's with 1+ year.
• Possess a valid/active U.S. Work Authorization.
• NETA/NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Programs, installs and maintains protective relaying and metering.
• Analyzes test results and interprets electrical diagrams to locate defective equipment.
• Coordinates testing, troubleshooting and repairs with other department personnel.
• Performs maintenance and testing of relays, breakers, transformers and switchgear.
• Provides mentorship and technical guidance to junior technicians.
