Job summary

M.c.-Dean, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Field Service Technician to install, calibrate, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems across transmission and distribution facilities.

You will interpret schematics and coordinate repairs with multiple teams, ensuring reliability and safety of electrical infrastructure. The role requires hands-on testing, preventive maintenance, and occasional travel to project sites, data centers, and substations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant electrical experience with a high school diploma OR associate degree or bachelor’s degree in related field.
• NETA / NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical testing.
• Strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair relays, switchgear, transformers and associated equipment.
• Conduct routine and troubleshooting testing, including timing and injection tests.
• Review schematics, wiring diagrams, and substation drawings to locate faults.
• Coordinate testing, troubleshooting and repairs with other departments.
• Maintain detailed test reports and documentation for compliance and client review.
