Job summary

Base is seeking an EHS Engineer to support field operations in Texas. You will perform hazard assessments, investigate incidents, address safety concerns, and collaborate with site leaders to prevent injuries while ensuring regulatory compliance.

This role focuses on environmental health and safety across facilities, with emphasis on hazard analysis and waste management. You will develop safety strategies, implement policies, and engage with teams to uphold a culture of safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with emphasis in occupational health and safety or environmental engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in the design, development and operational oversight of environmental, health and safety disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to apply best industrial and working practices to provide effective services.
• Knowledge of process safety management methods, pressure systems, and chemical delivery systems.
• Strong knowledge and experience interpreting and applying federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience with emergency response communication and incident management for hazardous material releases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance with Texas Health and Safety Codes, OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH.
• Collaborate with department leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement safety policies and procedures.
• Execute industrial hygiene studies to analyze manufacturing byproducts against health thresholds.
• Inspect facilities, machinery and safety equipment to identify hazards and implement guarding.
• Complete and maintain documented safety observations from hazard identification audits.
• Investigate industrial accidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.
• Develop safety solutions following a hierarchy of controls to ensure safety within cost and schedule constraints.
• Responsible for hazardous and non-hazardous waste management.
