Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in occupational health and safety and/or environmental engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in the design, development and operational oversight of EHS disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to research and apply best industrial and working practices to provide effective services.
• Knowledge of process safety management methods, pressure systems, and chemical delivery systems.
• Strong knowledge and experience interpreting and applying federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience with emergency response communication and incident management involving hazardous and non-hazardous material releases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines (Texas Health and Safety Codes, OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH).
• Collaborate with leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement safety policies.
• Execute industrial hygiene studies to analyze byproducts against health thresholds.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and implement guarding.
• Maintain documented safety observations from hazard identification audits.
• Investigate accidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.
• Develop safety solutions within cost/schedule constraints using hierarchy of controls.
• Responsible for hazardous and non-hazardous waste management.
