Job summary

Base is seeking an EHS Engineer to support our manufacturing operations in Austin, TX. You will perform hazard assessments, investigate incidents, and work with site leaders to prevent injuries while ensuring environmental compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

Responsibilities include implementing regulations from Texas Health and Safety Codes, OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH; conducting hazard analyses; inspecting facilities and equipment; leading waste management; and driving

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in environmental, health and safety disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in occupational health and safety and/or environmental engineering.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience with incident investigations and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance with regulations established by Texas Health and Safety Codes, OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH.
• Collaborate with leadership to complete job hazard assessments and implement safety policies.
• Execute industrial hygiene studies to analyze manufacturing byproducts against health thresholds.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and implement guarding.
• Complete and maintain safety observations from hazard identification audits.
• Investigate industrial accidents to determine root causes and preventive actions.
• Develop safety solutions within cost and schedule constraints to protect people, property, and environment.
• Responsible for hazardous and non-hazardous waste management.
