Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) invites motivated students pursuing Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental, or related fields to join Summer 2027 Internships. Work alongside engineers and technicians in materials testing, field observations, and project applications, with hands-on learning and real-world responsibilities.

You'll gain mentorship, cross-disciplinary exposure, and networking opportunities while supporting testing procedures, field testing, and client communications on construction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pursuing a Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing procedures and equipment such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.
• Conduct field testing and observations of construction materials, including concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at work sites.
• Additional miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.
