Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) invites motivated individuals pursuing education in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science for Summer 2027 internships. You will gain hands-on experience in construction materials testing on real projects, under mentors, and collaborate across geotechnical, environmental, and construction teams.

Interns participate in real-world project work, learn testing procedures, and develop practical field skills with guidance from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering degree.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Physical ability to frequently lift 30–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing procedures and use of field equipment (gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, concrete cylinder testing).
• Conduct field testing and observations of construction materials (concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, reinforcing steel).
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and on-site contractors.
• Perform additional miscellaneous assignments as needed.
