Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) invites students to join our Summer 2027 Internships. You will gain hands-on experience in field testing, coursework applicability, and mentorship from seasoned professionals across geotechnical, environmental, and construction disciplines.

Responsibilities include assisting with gradations, nuclear density gauges, field testing, and site observations, while developing professional skills in a client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pursuing Civil/Geological Engineering or related degree.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry 30-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing procedures and equipment such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.
• Conduct field testing and observations of construction materials, including concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at work sites.
• Additional miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Pursuing Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related degree

Valid driver's license

Ability to frequently lift 30-50 pounds
