Susquehanna Printing Company is seeking a District Manager to oversee newspaper distribution across Lancaster County. This salaried role focuses on recruiting and managing independent carrier networks, ensuring timely deliveries, and driving readership growth.

The position is primarily field-based with early morning hours and travel throughout the territory. The ideal candidate will have experience in circulation/logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead through influence.

Qualifications

• Experience in circulation, distribution, logistics, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain independent contractor carriers.
• Manage carrier networks and ensure contractual compliance.
• Monitor performance for delivery quality, customer service, and reliability.
• Make personnel decisions and address operational challenges.
• Drive circulation growth and achieve monthly goals.
• Support single-copy sales and distribution initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with dealers and customers.
• Track KPIs and collaborate with internal teams to improve efficiency.
