Job summary

Susquehanna Printing Company is seeking an Assistant District Manager to operate independently and as part of a team. The role requires managing complaints, customer calls, and Home Delivery issues, while serving as the liaison between District Managers, Independent Contractors, and customers.

Heavy driving (75-80%), delivering routes across Lancaster County, and navigating all weather conditions are key aspects.

Qualifications

• Experience in Circulation, Distribution or Retail is helpful, but training available.
• Experience delivering newspapers is valuable, but training available.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently.
• Outgoing, team-oriented and collaborative.
• Valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle and liability insurance.
• Flexibility and time management to handle changing priorities.
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between District Managers, contractors and customers.
• Manage complaints, customer calls and issues related to Home Delivery.
• Drive overnight hours and deliver routes throughout Lancaster County.
• Read directional lists and deliver newspapers while safely operating a vehicle.
• Update directional lists and maintain changes as directed by District Managers.
• Ensure subscriber and customer satisfaction with delivery of all products.
• Support single copy sales and improve efficiency with staff.
• Work with other staff to achieve subscriber and carrier goals.
• Adapt to a changing work environment and perform other duties as assigned.
