Job summary

Susquehanna Printing Company, part of Steinman Communications, seeks an Assistant District Manager in Lancaster, PA. The role coordinates home delivery operations, handles customer calls and complaints, and acts as liaison between district managers, independent contractors and customers.

The candidate should be highly organized, able to work independently or with a team, and possess strong communication and computer skills. Driving routes, including overnight hours, in all weather required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Circulation, Distribution or Retail helpful, but willing to train.
• Experience delivering newspapers valuable, but willing to train.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently.
• Outgoing, team-oriented and able to collaborate with others.
• Valid driver’s license, dependable automobile, and liability insurance are required.
• Flexibility and time management to manage changing priorities and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Telephone and computer skills are a necessary part of this position.
• Maintaining a positive attitude and having excellent verbal communication skills.
• Being able to work alone or as a team while remaining organized.
• Determining task levels and multi-tasking to reach results.
• Must be able to retain information and pass that information along to the respective parties.
• Update directional lists and maintain changes as directed by District Managers.
• Ensure customer/subscriber service and satisfaction levels are met or exceeded.
• Responsible for supporting single copy sales.
• Ensures customer/subscriber satisfaction with delivery of all products
• Works with other staff members to improve efficiency.
• Directly supports the district manager staff in achieving all subscriber and carrier-based goals.
• In addition to the responsibilities above, this is a constantly changing work environment and this position will require other duties assigned by management within reason.
