Job summary

Susquehanna Printing Company, part of Steinman Communications, is seeking a full-time District Manager to oversee newspaper distribution across Lancaster County. You will lead independent carrier networks, ensure timely delivery, and support growth while serving as the liaison between contractors and customers. The role is field-based with early hours (approx.

3:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.), a vehicle-dependent route, and requires driving, problem-solving, and strong organizational skills to drive

Qualifications

• Experience in circulation, distribution, logistics, retail operations, route management, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
• Valid driver's license, dependable vehicle, liability insurance, and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain independent newspaper carrier contractors.
• Build relationships with contractors while ensuring contractual compliance.
• Monitor performance and uphold delivery quality and reliability.
• Make personnel-related decisions and address operational challenges proactively.
• Drive circulation growth and help achieve monthly circulation goals.
• Manage customer and dealer relationships across the territory.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance efficiency, service quality, and operational effectiveness.
